Delane Choker Jumpsuit : Chocochips │Gladiators : Mystique

Black; mystery and mortality. However, some people, including me, refers to it as one of the most attractively elegant colour. Scrolling to some of my previous posts, you might also notice that I often wear jumpsuits. Count this one, too; another gorgeous clothing that I got from chocochips boutique. Although I don't really recommend to wear black during the hectic sun, but I myself just couldn't endure. Oh, I'd also like to apologize for my absence since I haven't been posting in quite a while because I've just got back from a 12 days long trip to Bali and Lombok (spot my sun kissed skin). Anyways, have a great summer holiday, everyone!

Barboteuse

Romper

Romper: Putri Boutique

Finals are about to take place, just as how as it occurs annually. But let's forget about the exam thing and move on to the good part; the fact that summer break is just a blink of an eye away. Speaking of summer holiday, I've always considered it one of the most important occasion of the year. I, personally, am the type of person that chooses to spend it as efficient as possible.

Rompers; in French, barboteuse. Another one of my favourite options, especially under the blazing hot sun. This one's made of cotton. Honestly, I find it somehow appealing when white is mixed with bright and cheerful colours, just like what happens to be in this outfit.

Salopette Amour

overalls

Crop tee: Bershka │Overall: H&M

I always find myself a fan of overalls — especially when they're made of jeans; I won't even try to resist to fall in love at the first sight. Then I'll just end up putting them in my closet. Yikes. But honestly, I am that sort of a salopette maniac. Definitely one of my favorite type of clothing at all time.

Overalls. Not only how they bring you this casual and playful aura, but also it's absolutely comfortable in one of these. However, there is one different thing that H&M brought up in this product. Usually, overalls come out with either culottes or just normal pants, but here, as you can see, the clothing line created a skinny-jeans-overall and they managed to use super light materials - which is def a good thing. As the top, I often wear plain t-shirts or crop tees like what I did on today's look.

L'Héritage Culturel

batik

Top: Urban Chic │ Batik skort: Bali

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. The cloth made using this technique is also named after the same word. It is made either by drawing dots and lines of the resist with a spouted tool called a canting or by printing the resist with a copper stamp called a cap. The applied wax resists dyes and therefore allows the artisan to colour selectively by soaking the cloth in one colour, removing the wax with boiling water, and repeating if multiple colours are desired.

The batik of Indonesia ,is the best-known, compared to batik from other various countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Nigeria. Indonesian batik made in the island of Java has a long history of acculturation, with diverse patterns influenced by a variety of cultures, and is the most developed in terms of pattern, technique, and the quality of workmanship. On October 2009, UNESCO designated Indonesian batik as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Most of the time, local people 'transform' batik cloths into shirts which is worn as a national clothing every Friday. However, it can be used in many forms. In this case, I decided to put it on as a pair of pants.

Lumineux Désert

crop

Maroon top and skort : Distance

Lumineux Désert means bright desert in French. Y'all should've known why I entitle this post that way, just by seeing the first photo above. When I took these pictures, the sun was shining super intense it nearly bit my whole skin. The weather was perfect though, I must admit. So under this blazing hot sun I put on this maroon crop top I got from Distance and matched it with a flowery skort from the same brand. Didn't went off too bad for me. It's been raining a lot these few days but I managed to write about an extremely casual sunny outfit instead of warm and cozy ones so do forgive me (?) And one more thing - please don't mind my tiny asian eyes - it was really bright I had to do my eyes like that!

The Fire Monkey

cheong sam

“ I am the seasoned traveler
Of the Labyrinth
The genius of alacrity,
Wizard of the impossible
My brilliance is yet unmatched
In its originality
My heart’s filled with potent magic
That could cast a hundred spells
I am put together
For my own pleasure
I AM THE MONKEY”

大家好！The Chinese New Year 2567 begins on February 8th. 2016 is a fire monkey year. It is said that people born on these years are ambitious and adventurous, but irritable.

The Monkey is an intelligent, witty, and inventive animal. They are problem solvers, working with their group while simultaneously demonstrating an independence associated with achievers. The nimble monkey is playful, youthful in nature, and is a joy to watch as they move from activity to activity.

The monkey is one of the symbolical animals corresponding to or having affinity with the ninth of the Twelve Terrestrial Branches, called the “Shen” Branch, and symbolises irrepressible curiosity and creative energy. Though worshipped to some extent by the Buddhists, the Monkey is commonly regarded as the emblem of trickery.

In the traditional Chinese mind, which is echoed in the annually-reprinted ancient almanac, the Monkey is very intelligent, hyperactive and strong-minded. He represents the unfettered mind freed from inhibitions and guilt. Relieving himself from the heavy burdens of a touchy conscience, the Monkey type will not hesitate to test his theories, experiment and think the unthinkable. In his domain, everything is possible. What is difficult, he could do right away; what is impossible may take a little longer.

All the animals have a shadow side, and the Monkey is no exception. The problem solving tendencies can turn the Monkey to being a tricky tactician, opportunistic and not all that trustworthy. The youthfulness hides an unscrupulous adolescent, and the independence can turn to unfaithfulness.

Honestly, I don't think there is any specific clothings to symbolise the fire monkey year - probably just classic fire monkey printed shirts and stuff. So just like every other Chinese New Year, I picked a traditional qipao and red clothings, dresses and such. I also wore a black top here simply because of the Chinese ornament printed on it. We actually aren't supposed to wear black on New Year but it's not that kind of a big deal for me (and I matched the qipao top with a red skirt anyway so..)

A little trick from me when you girls go shopping for CNY costumes ─ choose something red (obviously) or gold, and don't forget to seek for the chinese accessories too - the 上海 styled buttons, engravings, colour combinations and things like that.

新年的祝福，平日的希冀，愿你心境祥和、充满爱意，愿你的世界全是美满，愿你一切称心如意，快乐无比。
Xīnnián de zhùfú, píngrì de xījì, yuàn nǐ xīnjìng xiánghé, chōngmǎn ài yì, yuàn nǐ de shìjiè quán shì měimǎn, yuàn nǐ yīqiè chènxīn rúyì, kuàilè wúbǐ.
At New Year and always, may peace and love fill your heart, beauty fill your world, and contentment and joy fill your days.

Gunung Kidul

Unlike Jakarta - which is currently having the rainy season, the sun always shines brightly in Jogjakarta. Right after arriving at the Tugu train station, me and my family spent the whole day in Gunung Kidul, enjoying the enormous weather from one place to another.

We visited 5 different beaches right in a row - Indrayanti, Sundak, Krakal, Kukup and Baron. All of them have beautiful white sand. But my personal favourite is the Kukup beach, it has this gorgeous cave and the waves aren't as harsh as the others'. For a literal beach day, all I put on was a sleeveless top I got myself from a souvenir shop while I was in Prague; a pair of short jeans and flip-flops.

Not only that, we also enjoyed the beautiful view in the Pine Forest of Gunung Kidul and the enormous rocks of ancient volcanoes in the mountain area.
